Hair extensions are an incredible way to elevate your look and are something we are very passionate about. We offer many different methods to suit a range of hair types and concerns in order to achieve your desired outcome. We believe hair extensions are something that should be tailored to each individuals requirements, which is why we offer different application methods and can even combine them for ultimate versatility.

You can learn more about each of our application methods in detail below. If you are interested in getting hair extensions, we offer complimentary consultations where we can discuss your desired outcome and recommend a method and work out how much hair will be needed!

Tape EXTENSIONS

Tape hair extensions are probably the most popular method of hair extensions globally, and it’s pretty easy to understand why. They are quick to apply, are suitable for almost all hair types, sit flat against the scalp and can easily be worn up.

To apply the tapes, we take a small section of your natural hair, and apply a piece underneath then seal it with another over the top. The adhesive bonds together over the next 48 hours and will then stay in your hair for 5-8 weeks. During the maintenance process, we spray an alcohol based solvent onto the tape, then remove them. The natural hair that has shed over the course of your wear time will be combed out carefully and then you will have your hair thoroughly washed to remove any adhesive residue left in your hair. The old tape on the extensions is removed and replaced, and then they will be reapplied.

BENEFITS:
-Lightweight and very comfortable to wear.
- Tape-in extensions can add length, volume, or highlights to your hair. They are versatile and customisable to your preferences.
- Suitable for most hair types
- Easy to style and cover when wearing up.
- Can be applied quickly, with most applications taking 30-45 mins.

DISADVANTAGES
- Tapes require an adhesive to stay in your hair, which some people do not like.
- Occasionally a small amount of sticky residue can remain in your hair after your maintenance appointment, however this often comes out after 1-2 washes.

Weft EXTENSIONS

Wefts are a great way to create your dream hair, whether it’s length, fullness, colour or all of the above. Wefts are applied in rows, the amount of them in your hair depends entirely on the thickness of your natural hair and the desired result.

We create these rows by creating a track of silicone lined beads in your natural hair. The weft is then laid both underneath and over the top of the beads and stitched together. This will hold in place for 6-8 weeks depending on how quickly your hair grows. During a maintenance process for your wefts, the extensions will be taken out by carefully cutting the thread. The beads will also be removed, and the natural hair that shed throughout the course of your wear time will be combed out. The sections will be cleaned up and beads reapplied, then the wefts go straight back in.

BENEFITS:
- Suitable for most hair types.
- Fully customisable! We can customise the colour, thickness, length and placement of your wefts to create your desired result.
- Can be comfortably styled and worn up.
- Quick installation.

DISADVANTAGES:
- Can cause some minor discomfort for the first 1-2 days post installation/maintenance.
- Can feel bulky when large amounts of hair is needed.
- As weft extensions are a thicker section of hair at the root, they are not the best method for somebody who needs to wash their hair frequently as they do take longer to dry.

Keratin bond extensions

The Keratin Bond method involves attaching small strands of hair with a keratin adhesive, which is gentle on your hair and scalp while offering excellent durability and longevity. These extensions are applied using a 1:1 ratio of natural hair and extension, meaning no excessive bulk is added to the natural hair.

On clean hair, we take the section of natural hair, apply the extension over the top and use a small heated tool to melt the keratin and then use our fingers to wrap the keratin around the section. The keratin capsule seals around the natural hairs over the next 48 hours, and can then stay in your hair for 2-3 months depending on how fast your hair grows.

Historically, keratin bonds were only able to be used once and then needed to be replaced after the 2-3 month wear time. Now, we are able to re bond the extensions so you are able to get significantly more wear out of your set. During your maintenance process, we break down the keratin capsule and safely remove it from your hair. Shedded hair is then carefully combed out. The re bonding process is quite time consuming, so you are able to spread the removal and reapplication process over two appointments if that is more convenient for you.

BENEFITS:

- Natural look. One of the biggest benefits of Keratin bonds is their ability to blend seamlessly with your natural hair, whether it is styled, left natural or put up. Because of how tiny the bond is, they are able to look very natural and realistic.
- Versatility: Keratin bonds behave just like your own hair would, meaning you have the ability to straighten, curl and even have some colour done. They are a versatile option for people wanting to add length, fullness or texture to their hair.
- Durability: If looked after correctly, Keratin bonds have the ability to stay in your hair for 2-3 months without maintenance making them a long lasting option for anyone who struggles to commit to the 6 week maintenance cycle of other hair extension methods.
- Comfort: Keratin bonds are applied individually to a small section of hair. Because of this, they are extremely comfortable to wear and don’t pull or tug on the scalp.
- Customisable: the bonds can be made smaller for people with finer hair types, have multiple colours blended and can be used alongside other hair extension methods to create seamless blends.

DISADVANTAGES:
- Keratin bonds do take longer to apply, due to the small sections and amount of extensions needed.
- During the re-bonding process, the old keratin does need to be cut off. This does mean that 1-1.5cm of length will be lost at each maintenance appointment.
- People with a lot of natural hair would require a significantly larger quantity of keratin bonds, which can take a lot more time and have a higher cost.
- More expensive than other methods due to the intricate application process.

clip in extensions

Clip in hair extensions are the perfect solution for somebody who is not wanting to commit to wearing hair extensions every day, but wanting a little bit of extra glam every now and then. Unlike other hair extensions, you are able to install clip in hair extensions yourself whenever you like. They are easy to put in and remove, and have the ability to add length, volume and even a bit of colour to your natural hair. Clip in hair extensions are ordered upon request, so a consultation is required to determine desired length, colour and amount needed. We are then able to do an installation appointment, where we can show you how to install, remove and style your clip in hair extensions yourself.

BENEFITS:
-Suitable for most hair types.
- No maintenance required.
- Can be applied in different ways to enable you to wear your hair up or down.
- Quick installation
- Designed for temporary wear, perfect for weddings or events.

DISADVANTAGES:
- Can be harder to blend on shorter hair and if you aren’t very confident in styling.
- Can feel bulky at the root due to the clips and thickness of the hair piece.
